This short-term project was intended to focus on creating attractive design for one of the most vital components of a platform: the landing page. At times, my excitement about designing can cause my process to be overly-ambitious and imaginative, so I wanted to work on refining that process by scaling back. I still think in the future, I can stand to scale my designs back even further. Though I enjoyed being creative and experimenting with graphics, I would benefit from practicing and calling on simple illustrations and components that can be reused for different types of projects, which I think I was better able to achieve on the third and fourth screens compared to the first. While I wouldn't want my work to look too generic, going forward, I want to speed my process up by preparing several simple illustrations, graphic elements, backgrounds, and layouts that I can mix and match to suit a variety of clients.
