Meditation and Mood-Tracking App

UI/UX Design

Project Overview
This app combines two apps popular in the mental health space: a mood tracker and a meditation app. Mood tracking will send a user to a page that offers them various meditation tracks relevant to the mood they are currently experiencing, and encourages the user to return to the app with a cute UI and earned badges. This project's duration was about 6 weeks.
My Contributions
Outside of my day job, I have spent the majority of my time on this project, which included researching competitors, creating illustrations, wireframing, and prototyping. I sought feedback from both personal friends and members of forums and online groups.

Here's what I ended up creating.

What I've Learned
This being my first design project, I was not only learning all about research, wireframing, and Figma, but also how to create a design process that was efficient and effective for me. I spent a large chunk of this project figuring out how to translate the conceptual fragments and ideas I had in my head into something clear and useful to a user. Going forward, I find it is so important for me to be certain of my information architecture and to not make attempts to fit in features I may personally think are cool, but may not necessarily fit within the structure. In future projects, I imagine my designing will become faster and smoother by allowing myself even more time in planning phases, and I feel more confident now that I have been through the entire design process once about planning features before visualizing them in a prototype or wireframe.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Thank you to everyone who offered feedback and support. Please reach out with any questions or further critique; I am always open to discussing design!

Thank you!
